An infinitely travelled executive living in Hong Kong and working in the world of high fashion purchased an enthralling piece of Lowcountry land. Bearing refined artistry and appreciation for high quality, our relationship quickly developed into a collaborative creative endeavor. Maximizing the Serengeti-like qualities of the Northern marsh views, the modest compound is situated to celebrate the outdoors and natural spaces between the buildings. The material pallet is reflective of the natural landscape while forms and proportions give the impression that the home has existed and matured in the location for decades. Choreography of arrival is intended as a transportation into a secluded retreat via passage through landscaped stairs and a subtropical garden. Interior spaces are simplistic yet highly sophisticated reflecting on the owner’s worldly travels resulting in a truly unique cosmopolitan classic.
