The Anderson Studio is anchored by the expertise of founding architect, Scott Anderson. A native of Charleston, SC, Scott has traveled extensively and combines a unique global perspective with deft local sensibility.

Scott and the Anderson Studio have produced a number of renowned home projects along South Carolina’s coast and the Caribbean. Scott’s architectural ingenuity has also brought a fruitful partnership with the Kiawah Island community. We are proud and excited to offer our services in the Palmetto Bluff community as well.

Our design philosophy revolves around a single idea: turning homeowner dreams into reality. As one of the premier Palmetto Bluff architects, we are excited to bring our perspective to one of the most sought-after areas in South Carolina.

Drawing inspiration from the verdant, near-tropical landscape of South Carolina’s coastal regions, Scott aims to design structures that reflect and reinforce the beauty of the natural world. Examples of this include ample open layouts, natural vistas, and versatile indoor / outdoor spaces. With an open and communicative process, our team is passionate about working directly with you to flesh out your ideas, establish designs, set guidelines, and build exceptional homes.

The Anderson Studio’s approach to home design has set the standard for home aesthetics, function, and environmental awareness in the Lowcountry. With a long history of working in the Lowcountry region, our team has built relationships with some of the best contractors and craftsmen in the Palmetto Bluff area.

The studio enjoys a close working relationship with Bill Mischler and Alex Haynes of Genesis Construction, a leading home builder in Palmetto Bluff. We also maintain close ties with Andrea Eldred and Brandon Edwards of Cameron and Cameron Custom Homes—a well-established boutique builder in Palmetto Bluff. These relationships help us to ensure your project runs smoothly from start to finish.

“After only one phone call, we knew that Scott was the architect with whom we wanted to work. His openness and enthusiasm were contagious. We drew up our vision for this vacation home, and for the past year Scott has brought this vision to life. He has accomplished this in a well-balanced, pragmatic, and creative manner, and every step of the way he has added tremendous insight to the process.”
