Adam’s deep passion for residential design is evident in his masterful interpretation of historic architectural details, seamlessly blending them with new designs that exude sophistication and timelessness. His role as Design Director transcends project oversight; he is the driving force behind executing and bolstering the studio’s creative vision, ensuring that every design elevates the high standards of excellence that define the firm.

In his leadership role, Adam excels in cultivating a culture of collaboration, where creativity and innovation are encouraged and celebrated. He believes in the power of a collective approach, fostering strong, dynamic teams that share a common goal of pushing the boundaries of design. His ability to think both critically and creatively enables him to navigate complex challenges with ease, whether dealing with intricate material transitions, zoning regulations, or site constraints.

Adam’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He further enriched his architectural knowledge through a Post-Baccalaureate Program at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, studying under esteemed professors including Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron at ETH Studio Basel, and Fabio Gramazio and Mattias Kohler at ETH Zurich.

Outside of his professional achievements, Adam finds balance through travel, time with his family, live music, and the occasional round of golf—pursuits that continue to inspire and inform his approach to design.
