Studio Director

Ask Adam why he loves architecture and he’ll answer without hesitation, “There isn’t anything else I’d rather do.” With a passion for residential design, Adam’s experience lies in the interpretation of historic architectural details and developing new designs that evoke a distinctive ease and elegance.

Thinking both creatively and critically, he anticipates and identifies solutions long before they become problems. While his ability to problem solve is helpful in all aspects of his practice, it becomes an invaluable asset when working through complex site constraints, navigating code and zoning regulations, or developing thoughtful material transitions.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He also completed a Post-Baccalaureate Program in Architecture at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich where has studied under the tutelage of many prestigious professors including Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron at ETH Studio Basel, and Fabio Gramazio and Mattias Kohler at ETH Zurich.

When he’s not at the office, Adam enjoys spending time with family, traveling, attending concerts, and squeezing in a round of golf from time to time.
