BENJAMIN “BEN” HESS

With more than eighteen years of experience in custom residential architecture design on Kiawah Island and the surrounding Lowcountry area, Ben is a technical expert with a deep understanding of everything it takes to put bespoke homes together. Analyzing and developing detailing throughout the design process, he deftly weaves creative vision with the practical requirements of building science. His professional and respectful approach to the relationships he builds and maintains with our consultants supports and fosters the studio’s technical solutions.

Ben earned a BS in Business Management from Pennsylvania College of Technology and is working towards Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.

A true family man, he lives in Charleston with his wife, Stephanie, and daughter, Madeline. Weekends consist of home improvement projects, landscaping, and coaching his daughter’s rec league soccer team.
