The owners of this 80’s golf cottage are committed to green building, which the Studio excitedly embraced. For this LEED Silver Home, the architect repurposed cypress siding, reclad the home in cement-fiber shingles and upgraded the entire structural, mechanical and air barrier systems.  The arcade beside the garage and trellis direct guests to the new entry and sun room overlooking the golf course. The scrim and reading room detailing tease out the positive existing character.
